‘You are not obliged to win, but you are obliged to give your best’. This is the motto that the Spanish motorcycling rider María Herrera has written on her official website. To get to know her better, En Estado Puro has travelled to her hometown, Oropesa. It is located in the province of Toledo and she opened the doors of her home to us.
At the age of 28, she has made a name for herself in the sport by competing in the MotoGP World Championship and Superbikes. She is currently racing in the MotoE World Championship and the Women's World Speed Championship. Her passion runs in her family and her father is largely to blame. At the age of six she learned to feel what it meant to be on a motorbike.
