High-voltage motorcycling with the best enduro riders and a lot of gas. These were the ingredients for a weekend of pure motor racing in the village of Oliana, located in the Catalan region of Alt Urgell. Three decades later, it once again dressed up to host a World Championship event in this sport. The Moto Club del Segre was organising a race of this speciality for the fourth time. The first was precisely in 1991, in Oliana, and the fans were eager to hear the roar of the motorbikes again. It was the second event on the world calendar. The starting gun was fired in the Portuguese town of Fafe.
